Up coming... Club 2010 TOC is October 8, 2011 on the Delta at the Holland Tract ramp. The date was selected to be outside of the 6 hour rule and to avoid as many conflicts as possible. The location was chosen to minimize expenses for gas and lodging. If you can not fish this event please let me know ASAP!

It is customary for the team with big fish to split the money, but only the angler that caught the fish receives the trophy.
Club rule 22:
Top 6 team Every year, if enough funds are available, a Tournament of Champions will be held. The participants will be selected from the top twelve (12) anglers based on the anglers total pounds. The Angler of the Year will organize and plan the tournament. The total expense to the club will be $720. This will be paid out as Big Fish $100 with Trophy, $300 for first place, $180 for second place, and $120 for third place. The additional approximate $20 will pay for the plates and trophy. To fish the TOC you must be a member in the year that it is held.
Club rule 35:
Once we are on the water, the Tournament Director is in charge. Whenever there is a tournament situation that occurs after the draw that is not covered by club rules or that is a judgement call, then the Tournament Director makes the decision. A vote is not necessary. The Tournament Director may consult with other officers but this is not a requirement. The idea is that we need an immediate decision, not an argument.

Here are the results for the Clearlake two Day tournament this past weekend.
The weather ran the gamut, we had low temperatures of 30 degrees early Friday morning to 83 degrees Sunday afternoon. It was very windy Wednesday through Friday and moderate on Saturday during the tournament. It was 43 degrees at blast off on Saturday with little wind. Sunday was beautiful with plenty of sun and little wind, water temperatures ranged from 59 degrees on Saturday to 65 degrees on Sunday afternoon for us.
First we want to thank Randy Pringle and the staff of of the Angler's Choice Western Rookie League for professionally weighing our catch on Sunday. Yes, there was a 80 boat WRL event at Redbud on Sunday. So the challenge was to get launched and recovered before the bigger tournament. We did fine and everyone got launched and recovered without incident.
Also, a thanks to Chuck Peak for supplying hot dogs at the awards.
The bite was a little tough at Clearlake for this time of year. I am sure the weather and fishing pressure had it's effect. But everyone caught fish and I believe had fun. There were a couple of mechanical issues with boats but they were resolved. The big bag belonged to Bob Nathan with ten fish for 37.46 pounds, he had 20.64 on day two and a real nice sack. Bob said that all the fish were caught on the secret bait that shall not be mentioned. He also had Big Fish for day 2 with a 5.42 pounder. I was second with ten fish for 35.05, Mario Jorge was third with 34.06. We caught all our fish on plastics, the secret bait and Flick Shake. Mark Pineda was fourth with 30.93 pounds and Jerry Boyd was fifth with 29.74 pounds. Mike Bacon and I tied for Day one Big Fish with two 5.60 pounders. Don Welch had day one big bag with 19.91 pounds. He was fishing with his guest (a local stick )Orlinda Hamel who did very well in her first tournament.
No Shows were: Rick Anderson (truck & guest), Edward Gonzales (sick & work) and Nick Daleo-5th (school event & ride)

Weather was much nicer than last tourney, mid 50-60, clear skies, moderate wind. Lake was full, relativley clear and 50 degrees or so. Fishing was tough even with the good conditions, only 2 limits.

On Sunday Mr. Grand slam and his side kick really struggled at Berryessa. We had 9.55 pounds and came in 14th out of 21 boats at the U.S. Angler's Choice-Berryessa. We just could not get them to go, same patterns as Saturday did not work. The winners had over 20 pounds but there were also some teams with zero to a couple of fish. But we had fun anyway. Jim
